illumi is a magical, dazzling and extraordinary nocturnal adventure where inventive and surprising concepts are transposed into thousands of larger-than-life light structures that take shape with 20 million LED bulbs. Cavalia presents a new illumi where most of the universes and light structures are original, never-before-seen creations. illumi offers an epic and imaginary adventure for kids and adults alike as they journey through 9 different mesmerizing worlds. Cutting-edge programming technologies, high-definition projections that blur the boundaries of reality, and animatronic Jurassic creatures that immerse visitors in scenes worthy of Hollywood films also make illumi the family event of the year not to be missed in Singapore. The largest light, sound, and multimedia show in the world comes to Singapore for its first international premiere outside Canada.

The illumi site is located at the Bayfront Event Space, 12A Bayfront Ave, Singapore 018970. We are right next to the Marina Bay Sands, Sands’ Expo and Convention Centre.

illumi is an evening event, with the magic starting at nightfall. The site is open from 6.30pm to 10.30pm daily and the event opening hours start from 7.15pm. It takes approximately between 60 up to a maximum of 90 minutes to take in all of illumi’s worlds. These timeframes are estimates and subject to attendance.

illumi adapts to holidays and adds a thematic touch to its experience according to the seasons. Thus, the themes of Halloween, Christmas & Chinese New Year, to name a few, will be in the spotlight for a few weeks throughout the Singapore edition.

The illumi site will remain open in all weather conditions. For safety reasons, we may have to cancel certain activities in extreme rainstorm conditions. Should such an event occur, announcements will be posted on social media and on illumi’s website. Unless we announce otherwise, we will welcome you in any kind of weather.

If you are concerned about the weather or want the option to reschedule in the event of any emergency, you have the option to add TICKET INSURANCE to your ticket at the time of purchase. For just $10 extra per ticket, you will be able to exchange your original ticket for a different date and time slot if there is inclement weather or due to any other unforeseen circumstances. In this case, follow the instructions received at the time of purchase.

TICKET INSURANCE must be added to the ticket at the initial time of purchase. It cannot be added later, without exception. TICKET INSURANCE can only be applied and used ONCE.

During your visit, you can grab some drinks and snacks at the Food & Beverage areas in the illumi Plaza, and other selected locations. For more details, visit the “illumi Plaza.” page by clicking here. Please note that no outside food may be brought onto the illumi site.

The nearest parking facilities include:

  • Marina Bay Sands (Basement Carpark, Entrance at Bayfront Link) and
  • Public Carpark near Red Dot Design Museum (Open Air Carpark, Entrance at Bayfront Avenue).

Given illumi’s location, especially on weekends and during high season, we recommend that you plan more time to arrive on site. We also strongly encourage you to use public transportation to get to illumi.

Yes! The site is easily accessible by  public transportation, we are within walking distance from the Bayfront MRT station (CE1/DT16). The station connects to the Circle and Downtown Line of Singapore’s Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) train system. You can also take Buses No. 97, 106, 133, 502, 518 to Marina Bay Sands MICE (outside Sands Expo & Convention Centre, opposite Hotel Tower 1). You can also use the nearby taxi stands/drop off points at Bayfront MRT Station or the MBS Expo and Convention Centre.

It is very important that you organize your travel to arrive at the illumi entrance gate at the time indicated on your ticket. If you arrive late, we unfortunately will not be able to guarantee your entrance because we have a capacity limit for each time slot to ensure a magical experience for all.

illumi is a non-smoking venue. Smoking and vaping are prohibited during your visit.

Properly identified service dogs are authorized at all times. We are planning for Pet-friendly events for selected evenings and more information will be available in due course. 

illumi is for everyone – even your furry friends! Join us for Pet-Friendly Sundays on the second Sunday of every month, where you and your pet can enjoy an evening stroll under the stars. Bring your pet along and make it a night to remember!

To create a safe and enjoyable experience for both pet owners and all attendees, please refer to the guidelines below:

Leash Requirement

All pets must be on a secure leash at all times. Retractable leashes are discouraged as they can pose safety risks in crowded areas. You can bring your pets in trolleys, bags or enclosures as well. Scheduled Breed Dogs must wear a muzzle for the safety of other attendees.

Supervision

Owners must supervise their pets at all times and should not leave pets unattended. To avoid overcrowding, each owner or ticket holder is limited to one pet per adult (18 and above). This ensures a manageable and safer environment for everyone.

Vaccinations & Health

All pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations and free of contagious diseases or parasites.

No Pets in Certain Areas

Certain zones will remain pet-free, such as food service areas or attractions/rides within the event park.

Waste Management & Hydration

Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Waste disposal bags and bins are located throughout the event park. Accessible water station is located near the toilet in the event plaza.

Pet Liability

Owners assume full responsibility for their pets. Pet owners must acknowledge that they are responsible for any damage or injury caused by their animals.

Notify us of items lost at the illumi site by sending a message through the “Contact Us” page on our website. Please note that perishable items and food will be disposed of when found.

Tickets & Rates

We strongly recommend that you purchase your tickets online in advance in order to secure your preferred date, time slot and experience. In order to control the flow of visitors to guarantee a pleasant visit by avoiding congestion on the site, a limited number of entries are available per day, per time slot and per type of experience.

It is possible to get tickets the same evening at the illumi box office. However, we cannot guarantee the availability of tickets according to the desired time slot. Same day bookings are priced higher than advanced sales tickets.

There are three types of tickets for illumi:

  • Standard Adult
  • Standard Child

Please note that you cannot change your experience once you have made your purchase. All tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. All sales are final.

You can present your e-tickets with their unique bar code from your mobile device at the illumi entrance. Make sure your device is charged and please increase the screen brightness to maximum. If you choose to print your e-tickets, we will be able to scan them upon entry.

We ask you to select a time slot so that we can control the flow of visitors and guarantee an optimal experience while preventing traffic congestion on the site.

When you buy your tickets online, you will receive a purchase confirmation by email with a dedicated link to download your tickets in PDF format. You can present your e-tickets with their unique bar code at the entrance to the illumi site.

If you wish to be able to exchange your ticket for another date or another time slot for any reason, we suggest that you add a TICKET INSURANCE option to your ticket at the time of purchase. We apply dynamic pricing to our event ticket in keeping with our policy that “the more tickets available for a given evening, the more favourable the prices will be.” Ticket prices reflect the most recent price for each evening based on demand. It takes approximately between 60 up to a maximum of 90 minutes to take in all of illumi’s worlds. To control the flow of visitors and guarantee an optimal experience during peak periods, we may request for guests to exit the site after 90 minutes.

It is not possible to repeat the journey with the same ticket. Each ticket allows for a single admission, with no re-entry to the event site.

No. illumi tickets are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable. All sales are final.

There is no pick up option for your purchased tickets at the entrance of illumi. You will receive your e-tickets with their unique QR code from your mobile device via email upon booking confirmation and you can present it at the entrance to the illumi site. Make sure your device is charged and increase the screen brightness to maximum. If you wish to print your e-tickets and present them at the entrance of illumi, they will be scanned by the front of house staff.

Family & Children

Free admission for children aged below 2 years old. Tickets are required for all children above the age of 2. The Child Standard ticket price is only applicable for children aged 2 to 12 years old. All children below 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The illumi experience is open to families with strollers. Please note that there will be no stroller storage facilities. Strollers are not available for rent on the illumi site.

Persons with Disabilities

The illumi site is accessible for wheelchair patrons. We will offer priority access to visitors with specific needs to enter the illumi site quickly and safely.

llumi is pleased to offer reduced rates to the companion of a person with reduced mobility who has purchased a ticket for the illumi experience. For booking of companion tickets and any other enquiries related to access for persons with physical disabilities, Please contact us at illumi@baseentertainment.com.sg to make the necessary arrangements.

No, wheelchairs are not available for rent on the illumi site.

llumi is an accessible event and can be enjoyed by different persons with disabilities. However, please be informed that the event does feature some strobe lighting and visual effects in certain worlds and may not be suitable to persons who are highly light sensitive or prone to epileptic fits.

During the Journey

Restrooms are available at the illumi Plaza at the entrance/exit. You are encouraged to use these facilities before or after the illumi experience so as not to disrupt your journey mid-route.

Visitors will have access to limited seating areas in the different worlds, mainly in the Plaza and in the Enchanted Maples world.

During your visit, you can grab some drinks and snacks at the Food & Beverage areas in the illumi Plaza, and other selected locations. There will also be a full range of souvenirs and fun merchandise available for sale. For more details, visit the “illumi Plaza.” page by clicking here. Please note that no outside food may be brought onto the illumi site.

Alcohol may not be brought into the illumi site. There will be alcohol beverages available for purchase at the illumi Plaza and must consume it there.

It is not allowed to go in the opposite direction of the traffic, the experience route is in one direction. You can wander at your leisure among the light structures in the same world before moving on to the next. Should you need to cut your visit short, there are clearly identified paths to take that will allow you to leave.

Emergency exits will be clearly indicated. If you need to use an emergency exit, please notify an illumi team member beforehand.

In the event of lightning, the lightning warning system will be activated and you will be directed to leave the illumi site in a safe manner and take cover at the nearest building. In such circumstances, you can come back to the event on the same day or a different day, except for eve of public holidays and public holidays.

The illumi Experience

The VIP Ticket includes a VIP Souvenir Lanyard, a Collectible merchandise, a free non-alcoholic drink, Priority Queue*access to one complimentary Carousel ride and a one time free Ticket insurance reschedule. The VIP is a fixed price for persons of all ages.

The ticket gives you single admission to the whole illumi Site, including the illumi Plaza, where you can buy food, drinks and merchandise.

We estimate it will take between 60 and 90 minutes to explore all of illumi’s worlds.

You can take and record as many photos and videos as you want. We encourage you to share your photos on social media using the hashtags, #illumiSG and #illumiASIA.

Here are a few tips to optimize your experience:

  • This is an outdoor event. Dress appropriately for the evening’s conditions so you are comfortable enough to be totally dazzled by the illumi experience, no matter the weather!
  • Bring your rain gear (ponchos and umbrellas) in case of wet weather. In the event of rain, the event will go on.
  • The illumi experience takes 60 to 90 minutes.
    Make sure your phone battery is fully charged so that you can capture all the magical moments in pictures or videos.
